Te Kōhanga Reo o Te Wānanga Whare Tapere o Takitimu
Te Kōhanga Reo o Te Wānanga Whare Tapere o Takitimu, is dedicated to nurturing the Māori language through quality early childhood experiences and care. Takitimu Kōhanga Reo (for short), partnered with Play’n’Learn for a comprehensive new classrom fit-out. The aim was to create an environment that reflects the Kōhanga Reo philosophy, ensuring cultural integration, safety, and functionality. The project successfully transformed Takitimu Kōhanga Reo into a culturally rich and dynamic learning environment. The new fit-out enhances both the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the space, ensuring it is safe and compliant. This transformation supports the centre’s mission to revitalise the Māori language and culture, providing a nurturing and engaging setting for tamariki to grow and learn. The natural materials and thoughtfully designed spaces create an environment that is both inviting and conducive to learning.
